All Disabled
Americans is an organization with a
one and only purpose: To defend the
rights of people with disabilities.
"I spent years
in school learning how to read
Braille yet Restaurants always want
to have someone read the menu to me
instead of giving me a Braille menu.
Aren't they supposed to have Braille
menus?"
"I had to go
in through the kitchen when I went
to the restaurant - just because I
use a wheelchair. I ended up with
lettuce stuck to the wheels of my
wheelchair. Isn't that against the
law?"
These
statements are just an example of
what a person with a disability
faces on daily basis, and YES this
is a violation of their civil
rights.
They are the
reason why we
tell you that doing nothing is how
nothing gets done. Become part of
the solution, join us in enforcing
our civil rights!
